Mechanical Butterfly Éclosion – The Dance of the Wings

Frangi Geneve Ateliers presents Éclosion, a mechanical butterfly that transforms the beating of its wings into a spectacle. At the heart of a large, golden-toned gear, its purple-patterned wings come to life thanks to a mechanism that connects them to the circular frame.

The exposed gears are part of the design: the eye follows their movement, then returns to the dance of the butterfly. On a desk, console table, or shelf, this animated sculpture brings together the delicacy of the natural world and the fascination of mechanics.
